Janet Bull McCormack, a lifelong resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on September 2, 1954, to John Bull and Johnie (Stewart) Bull. Janet was deeply rooted in the McKinney community she so dearly loved, and she was a proud graduate of McKinney High School. While in high school, Janet worked in her family's business, Bulls Machine Shop, where she learned the value of hard work and community service. Janet pursued her higher education at the University of North Texas in Denton.
She married the love of her life, the late John Andrew McCormack, in her hometown, where together they built a life grounded in family, community, and cherished moments. A dedicated entrepreneur, Janet owned and operated Jan’s Salvage, a successful retail resale shop, where she combined her keen eye for value with a heart for service.
She was of the Baptist faith and lived her life with grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Janet will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loyal sister, and treasured friend. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and the McKinney community she held so close to her heart.
Janet is survived by her son, John Bull McCormack of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; daughter-in-law, Alanna McCormack; grandson, Logan Bull McCormack; best friend as dear as a sister, Karen Burnside of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John McCormack, and parents, John and Johnie Bull.
Janet will be laid to rest with her husband during a private committal at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
