Janet Susan Brett, who left this world on January 23, 2026, at the age of 66 in Plano, Texas. She was born on March 23, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas.
Janet was the proud daughter of Jerry Reid Adams and Jeanetta Mozelle Honea. She spent her work life working as an administrator for the federal government. Janet married the late Bobby Brett on April 26, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas, and together they created many beautiful memories. A woman of Christian faith, she lived her life with purpose and passion, and she approached each day with a spirit of joy and compassion.
Janet was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and friend. She will be missed dearly and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Janet is survived by her mother, Jeanetta Adams of Watauga, Texas; brother, Tim Adams and wife Patricia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Philip Adams and wife, Uko of Plano, Texas; and many cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Brett and father, Jerry Adams.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery on Bridgefarmer Road, 100 Chapel Lane, Lowry Crossing, Texas 75069.
