Jane Frances Lynge, a long-time resident of Allen, Texas, passed away on September 29, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born on August 21, 1931 to Edward and Helen (Kiczka) Dunn in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. Jane married Oscar Edwin (Ed) Lynge on July 5, 1958 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania.
After high school graduation, Jane attended Ashland State Hospital School of Nursing. Upon completion of her degree, Jane enlisted in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse. After marrying her husband of 54 years, Jane was busy with raising four children as well as helping Ed with bookkeeping at Allen Lumber Co. In 1977, Jane was hired as the first registered nurse in the Allen Independent School District, a position she held for 19 years.
Even though she was dealing with many health issues in her later years, Jane always had a brilliant smile and a positive attitude. She was always more concerned with others than she was about herself.
She is survived by her sons, Eddie Lynge and wife, Janelle of Hudson Oaks, Texas and Tom Lynge and wife, Caressa of Duncanville, Texas; daughters, Anne Halderman of Richardson, Texas and Tricia Musslewhite and husband, Clay of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Alex Lynge, Bobby Lynge and wife, Emily, Andrew Lynge and wife, Stephanie, Daniel Lynge, Kara Halderman, Emily Musslewhite, and Olivia Musslewhite; great grandchildren, Finley, Cash, Ozzy, and Oliver; sisters, Mary Fox, Patsy Yurkiewicz, and Dorothy Taylor; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas.
