IN LOVING MEMORY

Jane Ann Lange

Aug 02 1941 - May 10 2020

On May 10, 2020, Jane Ann (Hollow) Lange, with both her children by her side, lost her long battle with cancer.

Jane was born on August 2, 1941 in Inman, Kansas.  She and her family moved to Dallas when she was 10 years old and graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 1959. Jane attended The University of Texas in Austin where she was a proud member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Jane was a strong, independent single mother who selflessly dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.  She taught them, through her own actions, the importance of working-hard, taking care of those you love, and to always stand up for what you believe in.

She worked as an office manager for nearly 40 years for several well-known companies such as Sun Oil, Petrus Oil, Railhead Energy, EDS, and Hewlett Packard.  At her retirement celebration, co-workers re-told stories that reflected those characteristics we loved most about her which were her intelligence, kindness and the respect that she extended to everyone she met.

Jane was an avid, lifelong sports fan.  She was especially fond of the Longhorns, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys.  She also found joy in supporting the teams that her children & grandchildren cheered for like the Red Raiders & Baylor Bears.  All her grandchildren lived close by and played sports, and nothing made her happier then attending and cheering for them at their weekly games and competitions.

Her passions were shopping, reading, playing cards with friends, spending time with her family, and going on vacations to the beach. She loved watching her grandchildren play in the sand and spending time working on puzzles with the family.

She made a wonderful impression on those she interacted with, not in the words she said, but with her actions.  Jane’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lee Hollow, and brother John. She is survived by her son, Barron with wife Kathy, and daughter Holly Cannatelli with husband Brian. Jane also has five beautiful grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Ava, Maya, and Lexi that brought so much joy to her life.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of invited guests will be allowed to attend the Memorial Service. If you would like to attend, please reach out to Holly at 214.505.2981. To celebrate Jane’s life, attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors for the service.
