Jane Henry, 83, of Gunter, TX, passed away on the evening of January 18, 2011. She was born on October 18, 1927 in Chattanooga TN, to Gillis and Gertrude Guffee. Jane married Harold Henry on February 23, 1957. She attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga business school and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Professional Sorority. She was a member of the East Lake Baptist Church from her youth, where she was active as a member of the Rainbow Girls and a youth sponsor. Jane is survived by her son Joe Henry and his wife Laurie, of Gunter; grandsons Cory and Cody, of McKinney TX, sister Jo King of Rossville GA, cousins Wadene Barnes and Iris Tapley, of Florida, nieces Suzette Carpenter, and Sheila Ellis and her husband Butch, and nephew Harrison King and his wife Linda. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, and sisters Faye Tosh and Marlene Guffee. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29 at 3:00 PM at Christ Fellowship Church, 2801 Orchid Dr., McKinney TX.
