On November 18, 2020, the beautiful Jana Gaylene Gray died at her home in Leonard, Texas. She was 69 years young. She was born November 19, 1950 at Dallas Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas to Patsy and Elmer Bray. She had two siblings, Elmer Ted Bray and Gloria Foisy. She grew up in Hurst, Euless, Bedford area. She was a member of her high school drill team, choir, and National Honor Society. She graduated from LD Bell High School in 1969 where she met her husband, Thomas Boyd Gray Sr. He was playing football for Grapevine High School, when they saw each other it was love at first sight. She attended college while still in high school at Texas Women’s University. Once she graduated, she and Tom were married and have been for almost 52 years. Once married she worked on a NASA project and was a substitute teacher for several school districts. She then became a full-time homemaker raising their three children so her husband, Tom could pursue a career with Grapevine Fire Department.

Although she struggled most of her life with Systemic Lupus and Many other serious health issues to include mourning the loss of her youngest son, Theron, she still managed to have some favorite hobbies that she loved. Those hobbies included playing with her grandkids, sewing, crafts, decorating (especially during the holidays), cooking, going to church and genealogy research. She always managed to make it out to see her grandkids participate in their school functions.

Jana was not only blessed with a wonderful husband she was also blessed with three wonderful children… Kimberly Lynn, Thomas Boyd Jr., and Theron Brandon. She raised them along with Tom to be independent and hard workers. She was also one proud Memaw to six grandchildren, Megan, Paige, Alyssa, Theron Jr., Peyton, and Wyatt. She was a very present Memaw and made sure to witness the birth of each grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Father-Elmer Bray, Mother- Patsy Bray, Sister- Gloria Foisy and son, Theron Brandon Gray Sr.

She is survived by her husband; Thomas Gray Sr. of Leonard, Texas, Brother; Elmer Ted Bray of LK. McMurray, Washington, Daughter; Kimberly Bradley and husband David, of Trenton, Texas, Son; Thomas Gray Jr. and wife, Kristin of Fort Worth, Texas, Grandchildren Megan and husband, Fatih of Houston, Texas, Alyssa of Fort Worth,, Texas, Paige, of Arlington, Washington, Theron Jr., of Maryland, Peyton Thomas of Trenton, Texas, Wyatt of Fort Worth Texas. She also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews all, whom she loved dearly.

Viewing - Jana will be in state 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home
701 N Cedar St., Leonard, Texas. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held First Baptist Church, 100 E Thomas
Leonard, Texas. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Ivanhoe, Texas.
