Jan Annette (Corbett) Mills of Princeton, Texas passed away on April 9, 2019 at the age of 71. She was born on January 21, 1948 to Jesse Eugene Standifer and Billie Lewis in Breckenridge, Texas. Jan married Grady Leon Mills on May 2, 1976 in Plano, Texas. She worked for Princeton Independent School District for many years as a Paraprofessional and was loved by all who knew her.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Grady “Leon” Mills of Princeton, Texas; children, Jaime Mills also of Princeton, Clifton Mills and wife, Shannon of Overland Park, Kansas and Donna Parz and husband, Paul of Nevada; grandsons, Kade Massey, Kole Massey, Kasen Massey, Kalin Massey, Kinsler Massey all of Princeton, Texas, Hogan Mills of Overland Park, Kansas, Josh Parz and Brandon Parz of Nevada; granddaughters, Madeline Mills, Tayler Mills both of Overland Park, Kansas and Meghan Parz of Nevada; sisters, Angela Speer and husband, James of Breckenridge, Texas, Kaye Talley of Princeton, Texas, Bennie Bailey and husband, Rick also of Princeton, Texas; brothers, Bill Corbett and wife, Sandy of Forreston, Texas, Greg Standifer and wife, Tammy of Simpson, Louisiana; Jesse Standifer and wife, Vickie also of Simpson, Louisiana and Gary Standifer of Austin, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Corbett; father, Jesse Standifer; and grandmother, Mary Lewis.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Princeton High School Auditorium, 1000 E. Princeton Drive, Princeton, Texas 75407. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening, April 11, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
