Jamie Rachelle Gutierrez of McKinney, Texas passed away August 26, 2017, at the age of 36. She was born October 9, 1980, to Rodney Allan and Wanda Dianne (Fowler) Wehmeyer in Kerrville, Texas. Jamie married Danny Martinez Gutierrez on February 5, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Union High School in 1998. Jamie was a 2004 graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Jamie worked for CVS Health for the last seven years. She enjoyed learning and was an avid reader. Jamie loved taekwondo, gymnastics, baseball and coaching her son’s baseball team. She was passionate in the time spent with her family.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Danny Gutierrez; son, Alexander Gutierrez both of McKinney, Texas; father, Rod Wehmeyer and wife Tenice of Boerne, Texas; sister, Tara Warren and husband John of McKinney, Texas; brother, Canon Wehmeyer of Boerne, Texas; grandmother, Peggy Penney of Haslet, Texas; great-grandparents, Edna Hoover of Grand Prairie, Texas and Bob Isbell of Denton, Texas; mother-in-law, Lidia Gutierrez of McKinney, Texas; sister-in-law, Lixi Gutierrez ; brothers-in-law, Silver Gutierrez, Eric Gutierrez and George Gutierrez from McKinney,Utah, California, and Colorado; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Dianne Wehmeyer and grandparents, Leroy and Shirley Wehmeyer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
