James Allen Hamm, aka “Hammbone”, 36, and his new bride, Amanda Willingham Hamm, were called home together on March 3, 2021. Born October 8, 1984 in McKinney, Texas to the late Johnny Ray Hamm and Debbie R. Hamm

James leaves behind his mother, Debbie R. Hamm and step-father Bill Smith Jr.; sisters, Nancy Hamm and partner, Joshua Wright, Kellye Hamm and wife, Genalisa Hayes-Hamm, Diane Smith, and Debbie Smith; brothers, Tanner Hamm, Trey Hamm and Billy Smith; daughter, Whitney Hockett; maternal Aunt Donna Gwartney and Uncle Bud Gwartney; maternal Uncle Jerry Ray and Aunt Andrea Ray; paternal Uncle Phill Hamm and paternal Aunt Carol Owens; nephew, Carson Cooley; niece, Sahrea Chavez; along with many other friends and family.

Although taken too soon, we know that James is now looking over his loved ones, alongside his wife Amanda and father, Johnny Ray.

James was larger than life and full of personality, a gentle giant always willing to lend a helping hand, who never met a stranger.

James’ celebration of life was held on March 6, 2021 at Bill Smith’s Café. A viewing will be held on March 8, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00pm, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, located at 2525 N Central Expressway, Allen, Texas 75013.
