James Dennis Williams of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 23, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born December 10, 1932 to Oscar H. and Martha L. (Seals) Williams in Chambersville, Texas. J.D. graduated from Princeton High School where he was an outstanding athlete and quarterback. He married Patsy (Rich) Williams on March 10, 1951 in Princeton, Texas. J.D. was the manager for Beall’s department store retiring after 25 years of service. After retirement, in his spare time, he loved to fix lawnmowers and go to garage sales. He was a longtime member of Waddill Street Baptist Church.
J.D. is survived by his wife, Patsy Williams of McKinney, Texas; sons, Keith Williams and wife, Dee of New Hope, Texas and Scotty Williams of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan Williams and wife, Shannon of Jacksonville, Texas, Stephen Williams and wife, Krissie of Allen, Texas, Eric Williams and wife, Katie of McKinney, Texas, James Williams of Savoy, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jordan Jasien, Jenna Williams, Hayden Williams, Logan Williams, Kyra Williams, Nolan Williams, Pierce Williams; sister, Hazel Godwin of Princeton, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Blackie Williams, Ray Williams, Dallard Williams; sisters, Vernie Williams, Pansy Godwin Rountree and Wanda Rains.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, with Rev. Harry Long officiating.
