James Xiangze Su

James Xiangze Su of Plano, Texas, passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 62.

James is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jie Su; daughters, Alene Su, Jessica Su, Tiffany Su, and Judy Kang; brothers, Xiangwen Su and Xiangning Su; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

James was born on August 20, 1959, to Fan Su and Ruifeng Yang in Kunming, China. He completed his undergraduate studies at Kunming University of Science & Technology. He later earned his master’s degree at Oklahoma State University. James married Jie Liu on February 4, 1990, whom he met in their hometown of Kunming. He worked as a database engineer for AT&T/IBM Kyndryl for over 20 years. James was baptized at Dallas Chinese Bible Church in November of 2017 and was a regular attendee of both DCBC and Yeshua House.

James was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed playing soccer, taking road trips, and spending time with his family. He was passionate about overseas missionary work and was a frequent volunteer teacher for Dallas schools through AT&T. James was known for his good humor and love for cracking jokes. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Dallas Chinese Bible Church, 1707 Campbell Trail, Richardson, Texas 75082.  The service will also be streamed via Dallas Chinese Bible Church’s YouTube channel. Link: https://youtu.be/A46f04HuLNE.

An inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
