James Hampton Wysong, II

James Hampton Wysong, II, age 66, lost a courageous battle with leukemia on July 20, 2009. He was tirelessly devoted to his family and close friends. Jim was born October 25, 1942 in McKinney, TX. He grew up on his family’s Highland Farm in Melissa, TX and earned a Bachelors of Business degree from the University of North Texas where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Jim raised his family in Dallas, TX, and leaves behind Jo Wysong, his beautiful wife of 42 years, daughter Erin Wysong Reina and grandsons, Hadrien & Lair Reina, son James Hampton Wysong, III and wife Cherrie, sister Ann Wysong and husband John Vuyosevich and niece Catherine, mother-in-law Gladys Berry, sisters-in-law Pat Kozak and Michal Thompson and husband Kirk, niece Shelley Neustupa and husband Brad and son Cameron, nephew Sean Stone and wife Kathleen and sons Cameron, Colby, and Caden, cousin Dr. Cliff Skiles and wife Jody, cousin Jeb Skiles and wife Krista and children Stewart, Lilly, and Caitlin, cousin Trey Skiles and wife Jennifer and children Cullen and Carson, and cousin Dan Bornemeier and wife Misty and children Marisa and Ryan. Jim began a lifelong homebuilding career in 1968 with Fox & Jacobs, which culminated in a family business, building beautiful custom homes in Dallas. Jim was a Life Director for the Home Builders Association of Dallas, where he served in many capacities. Throughout his career he earned many salesmanship awards and had loyal clients. Additionally, Jim was an avid hunter and loved to travel. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 12:30 on Saturday, July 25, at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church of Dallas. He will be buried on Friday at Melissa Highland Cemetery at a private family burial service.
