James Rollin Fowler, 79, of Fairview, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, in Plano, Texas. He was born on November 16, 1946, in Neosho, Missouri, to Wilford Fowler and Eula Mae (Buzzard) Fowler.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a hardworking, strong-willed man who lived life to the fullest. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling, and flying as a private pilot. Known for his quick wit and unmistakable sarcasm, James could always bring a smile to those around him.
James met the love of his life, Pamela (Dill) Fowler, on a blind date, and they married on March 22, 1970. He devoted his life to caring for Pamela and their daughter and took great pride in his family.
One of the things he often said was, “I hope I live long enough to be a burden to those I love.” With his trademark humor and sarcasm, that comment perfectly reflected the way James approached life: honest, independent, and always ready for a laugh.
James will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His strength, humor, devotion, and unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by his family and friends.
