James Michael Martin

Mr. James Michael Martin, age 73, of Kemp, Texas, formerly of Huntington West Virginia, passed away January 12, 2005. He was born October 19, 1931, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to James Kreider and Hedwig (Schneebeli) Martin. He married Agnesanne Villinski on April 19, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Martin served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Turkey. While in the Army he received a Field Commission to Lieutenant. He received his BS Degree from Penn State and his MS Degree in Business from the University of Tennessee. He worked as a metallurgist at Huntington Alloys in Huntington, West Virginia, for 25 years, and most recently worked for the University of Michigan taking health surveys. He attended the Catholic church. He is survived by his wife, Agnesanne Martin of Kemp, Texas; daughter, Pam Estler and husband, Brian of Plantation, Florida; sons, James Martin and wife, Mary Kay of McKinney, Texas, and Jeffrey Martin and wife, Linda of Mason, Ohio; grandchildren, David and Michael Estler, Emily, Ashleigh and James Bradley Martin, Tyler, Colin and Spencer Martin; sister, Julie Fatherly and husband, Robert; aunt, Selma Schneebeli Kelly; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Gabriel’s the Archangel Catholic Church, McKinney, Texas, or to the charity of your choice.
