Former Dallasite, Jimmy Williams, died Wednesday, Nov 29, in Kerrville, Texas surrounded by loving family. He was born July 4th, 1940 to James W. Williams & Helen S. Williams in Sherman, TX.
Jimmy attended St. Marks School of Texas, SMU and earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas. He began his career as an attorney for the Texas Court of Civil Appeals, Criminal Appeals and Texas Supreme Court. After practicing law, he joined Lincoln Property Co. in planning & development. Upon leaving Lincoln, he had a highly successful real estate career. Upon the death of his father, he headed the aircraft brokerage, Williams Aircraft, later returning to real estate.
Jimmy was involved in stewardship at Midway Hills Christian Church and coached Park Cities YMCA football for many years. A resident of Kerrville for 23 years, he was active in the First United Methodist Church there.
Jimmy is survived by his cherished wife of 55 years, Vicki Pernell Williams, son Jim Williams & wife Mary of Colleyville, daughters Jennifer Craft & husband Matt of Dallas, Rheamy Higgins & husband James of Conroe, grandchildren Davis, Katherine, & Emily, Charlie & Billy, and Jefferson, Kendall & Haley, brother Brad Williams & wife Ginny of Dallas, nephew Bradley & nieces Alison & Lindsey and other beloved family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
