IN LOVING MEMORY

James Lee Gray

Oct 23 1949 - Jan 22 2017

James (Jim) Lee Gray, age 67, of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 22, 2017. He was born on October 23, 1949 in Joplin, Missouri to Ruth Violet Hawley Gray and Gerald (Joe) Lee Gray. On October 6, 1984 James married Kathleen Joan Fogle in Overland Park, Kansas. Jim holds an MBA and worked in the retail, communications and building industries throughout his career.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy Gray; two children, Katelyn Gray McDonald (Dillon) and Gavin Gray; grandson, Kasen McDonald; siblings, JoAnn Medina (Steve), Joy Ledbetter (Phillip), Connie Wilcoxen (Duane), Dawn Bellm, Floyd Gray and Jerry Gray (Kathy); siblings in law, Steve Fogle (Debbie), Rick Fogle (Joyce), Mike Fogle (Brenda), Kirsten Fogle Jude (Mike), Mark Fogle (Sandra), Brian Fogle (Robin), John Fogle (Amy), Mary Fogle McClain (Stephen), Matt Fogle (Sopo), Tom Fogle (Lisa) and 41 nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon Douglas Gray, nephew Eric Fogle and mother-in-law Joan Fogle.

Jim enjoyed many physical activities in life; camping, fishing, lifting weights and playing sports. An avid reader, it wasn’t uncommon to find him up at four in the morning, reading the newspaper from cover to cover or reading one of his history, sports or mystery books in the evening. However, while Jim found joy in these things, nothing gave him purpose like his family. Whether it was spending time with his wife, or playing with his kids and grandkids, Jim reflected sacrifice, provision, and love for everything that had to do with the people he cared about. While his wit and humor were notorious, and he could recite one-liners that would have a whole room in tears, he was truly a people person and lived his life doing his best to treat people with respect and integrity. James Lee Gray will be forever missed, and the legacy of love and relationships that he left behind will never be forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 3521 Main Street  in Frisco, TX75034 on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 am.
