James “Jim” Wesley Voyles of Allen, Texas passed away on July 28, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born on November 13, 1931 to Jewel and Lavada (Freeman) Voyles in Greenville, Texas. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Pfizar for several years before starting with El Chico’s corporate office where Jim held various accounting and management positions. He would retire from El Chico after 28 years of service.
Jim is survived by his partner, Sam Axson; sister, Jewell Smith and husband, Larry; nephews, Damon Smith and wife, Melissa and Kevin Smith; great-nephews, Tyler Smith and Austin Smith; great-niece, Allison Smith; his best buddy, Tinkerbell; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Vada Voyles; grandparents, Tom and Ellen Freeman and Charles and Nettie Voyles; and brother, Robert Voyles.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
