James “Jim” S. Richardson of Plano, Texas passed away on August 8, 2019 at the age of 84. He was born on May 3, 1935 in Pomona, California to Samuel and Geraldine Richardson. Jim was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim married Kathryn Byrnes on November 20, 1970 in Crestwood, Kentucky. He retired from GAB Robins after 35 years as an account executive. Jim was an avid golfer and boater, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Many of the things his family will cherish were his ability to light up a room, the passion he had for life and his humorous approach for the people he loved.
Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy of Plano, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Matthew Michael of New Carlisle, Indiana, daughter and son-in-law, Jeni and Charlie Post of Wichita Falls, Texas; four granddaughters, Madison, Kayleigh, Rylee and Regan; and an extensive number of extended family members, colleagues, friends, neighbors and people he cared a great deal about.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
