James “Jim” H. Bundy of McKinney, Texas passed away November 17, 2016, at the age of 83. He was born January 29, 1933, to John Henry Bundy and Mattie D. (Truitt) in Valley View, Texas. Jim grew up in Era and Valley View, Texas. He moved to the Dallas area in 1962. He married Martha Bundy on May 22, 1970, in Arlington, Texas. He spent most of his life as a City of Richardson, Texas Fireman. Jim later moved to McKinney where he owned and operated Bundy Nursery and Gifts. Martha and Jim were active members in the Collin County Historical Society. He loved woodworking and collecting antiques.
Jim is survived by his wife, Martha Bundy of McKinney, Texas; son, Ronny Bundy and wife Suzie of Houston, Texas; daughter, Lynda Carole Bundy of San Antonio, Texas; and granddaughter, Julia Lynn Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Groves and sister, Lynadese Calhoun.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Pastor Bill James officiating. Interment is to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
