Mr. James Charles Hayden, age 67, of Allen, Texas, passed away July 1, 2006, in Allen. He was born November 30, 1938, in Rockford, Illinois, to G. O. and Marion (Schultz) Hayden. On September 3, 1960, he married Susan Foster in Edmond, Oklahoma. Mr. Hayden worked as a draftsman for DEMCO for over 18 years and also worked for the Edmond Public Schools for over 15 years. He was also active as a Scout Leader and a Boy Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Susan Hayden of Allen, Texas; sons, Bill Hayden and wife, Christi of Mesquite, Texas, John Hayden and wife, Lisa of Allen, Texas, and Steve Hayden; grandchildren, Paul and Ryan Hayden of Mesquite, Texas, and Susie and Andrew Hayden of Allen, Texas; and sister, Janice Boatman of Phoenix, Arizona. His parents preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2006, at St. John the Baptist Church in Edmond, with interment following at Grace Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
