James Edward Recer of McKinney, Texas passed away February 5, 2021 at the age of 85. He was born on July 31, 1935 to Charlie W. Recer and Callie A. (Thorp) Recer in Blue Ridge Texas. James enjoyed solitaire, stayed busy outdoors, and loved his lawn business. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Fuller and husband, Michael; son, Todd Recer and wife, Jaime; four grandchildren, Lane Recer, Cody Recer, Levi Recer, and Elliott Fuller; two great-grandchildren, Eli Recer and Easton Recer; sister, Annetta Gant and husband, Earl; two brothers, J.A. Recer and wife, Allison and Willie Recer and wife, Karen, numerous other loving family members and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Callie Recer; twin brother, Bud Recer; and brothers, Charles Recer, Roy Recer.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the funeral service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live steam will be available for viewing at the same link location.
Should the maximum number of guests be reached, those who would like to honor James and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. Anyone attending the graveside is to maintain social distancing or may remain in their vehicle.
A “come and go” visitation will be held from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing and masks will be required.
