James Edward Davies, Sr.

James Edward Davies, Sr., was born May 2, 1945 in Great Falls, Montana to Kenneth Davies and Alberta Champagne Davies. He died on December 16, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 73.

James proudly served his nation in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He grew up in Great Falls, Montana and then later moved to Oregon where he lived up until he relocated to Texas to be with his daughter. He was a proud full-time single parent of 4 children. He spent many years involved with the Parents without Partners organization specializing in organizing family functions. He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Davies and James Erben of Sherman; sons James Davies, Jr. and Jonathan Paul Davies of Whitewright; daughter, Kim Abila of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters, Brittney, Justine and Elaina; great-granddaughter, Harper; sisters, Marie and Sue; brother, Peter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
