James Douglas Hudson

James Douglas Hudson of Allen, Texas formerly of Jacksonville, Alabama passed away on April 22, 2018 at the age of 86.  He was born on December 31, 1931 to Milton and Josephine (Byrd) Hudson in Linville, Alabama.  James married Mary Carolyn Wells in 1954 in Weaver, Alabama. He was a member of Christ Church in Plano, Texas and was also an active member at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church in Anniston, Alabama.  James was a self-employed entrepreneur and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

James is survived by his daughter, Mary Angle and husband, Marc of Plano, Texas; son, Charles D. Hudson and wife, Marilyn of Jacksonville, Alabama; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hudson, Christopher McIntyre, Stephanie Elaine Henderson and Darby Brook Angle; great-grandsons, Ryan Hudson, Reese McIntyre and Connor McIntyre; sister, Reba Fant of Anniston, Alabama; brother, Edward “Ed” Hudson of Fair Hope, Alabama; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Josephine Hudson; his wife, Mary Carolyn Hudson; and his daughter, Martha Joline Henderson.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of KL. Brown Memory Chapel, Golden Springs. The Reverend Father John Carlisto will officiate and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
