A Memorial Service for Mr. James “David” Campbell, 68 year old Celeste resident, is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Hickory Creek Baptist Church, located at 3235 FM 816, Wolfe City, Texas 75452.

David was born December 20, 1950 to Patsy and JD Campbell, but he was reared by Patsy and Bill Self after the death of JD when David was just 6 months old. David is a Veteran of the US Army and he retired from the City of Garland in 2001. He married his wife, Teresa, on September 5, 1998. His passions included horses, roping, building ammo, guns and he loved spending time with his family and loved ones. He passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his residence.

David is survived by his wife: Teresa Campbell of Celeste; his brothers: John Campbell and wife, Sue, of Carrollton, Billy Self and wife Cathye of Quitman; his sister: Beverly Womack and husband, Ken, of Mt. Vernon; his sons: David Campbell and wife, Janet, of Leonard and Charlie Campbell and wife, Hillary of Leonard; his daughter: Shelly Klaus and husband, Kurt, of Leonard; his step-daughters: Tammy Mayfield and husband, Russ, of Leonard and Brandy Daniels of Bailey; his grandsons: Chance Sanderson, Justin Campbell, Levi Campbell, Jagger White and Bo Daniels; his granddaughters: Kaylea Sanderson, Carissa Campbell, Sadie Campbell, Emma Campbell, Rylee White, Michelle Daniels, Madison McIntosh, Memphis Sanderson, Katelyn Klaus and Ashley Klaus; his great-grandchildren: Makenzi Brannum and Hattie Mae Daniels.

David was preceded in death by his fathers, JD Campbell and Bill Self, his mother, Patsy Self, and his sister, Gayla Crosby.
