James Huey Calhoun

Mr. James Huey Calhoun, age 90, of Richardson, Texas, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away February 3, 2005, in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 1, 1914, in Bessemer, Alabama. He was married to Ruth Bedford of Tupelo, Mississippi for 67 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Italy during World War II. Mr. Calhoun was previously employed by Woolco Department Stores and F.W. Woolworth Company for 47 years. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Ruth B. Calhoun and son, Thomas “Tom” H. Calhoun, both of Richardson, Texas; nieces, Nima Parsons and husband, Harold, and Louise Cooley and husband, Andy, all of Birmingham, Alabama; Jane Rogers and husband, Colis of Jackson, Mississippi; nephews, George Bennett and wife, Pat of Pensacola, Florida, and Joe Bedford and wife, Pat of New Albany, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sue Arthur. Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, February 9, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Chaplain Brian Quinn officiating. Interment was at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, at DFW National Cemetery.
