On Monday, July 13, 2020, beloved husband and father James D. Burton passed away with loved ones surrounding him, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 49.
He was born April 22, 1971, in Busan, South Korea, to Yeong Ja Choi and Tae Seon Jeong; adoptive parents, Kum Chae and Ronald L. Burton. He married Corina Constante in Grand Prairie, Texas, on December 25, 2004.
James was a Systems and Network Manager at VENUS Fashion Inc. He had a passion for learning and teaching others what he knew. He loved traveling, sports, bird watching, shooting guns, and technology. James proudly served in the United States Army. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Corina Burton; his sons, Jared and Timothy Burton, and two step-sons Rudy and Michael Cant’u all of Lubbock, Texas; his father, Tae Seon Jeong of South Korea; twelve grandchildren, his brothers, In Du and Hae Young, both of South Korea; one niece; and three nephews. James is also survived by Corina’s family who have lost a son, brother and uncle they loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother Yeong Ja Choi and adoptive parents, Kum Chae and Ronald L. Burton.
A visitation will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, July 23, 2020, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service is at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 W. Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, Texas, on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Father Joseph Nedumankuzhiyil. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas.
