James (Jim) W. Brown, age 80 of Celina, Texas passed away on September 9, 2005. He was born January 14, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Clyde and Zelda (Carpenter) Brown. Jim served in the U. S. Army during World War II, was a technician in communications with AT&T, and of the Presbyterian faith.
Jim is survived by daughter, Marth McIlroy of Celina, Texas; six stepchildren, Eric and wife, Carlotta Jeffrey of Frisco, Texas, Karen and husband, Mike Miller of New York, Kerry and wife, Martha Jeffrey of Brownsboro, Texas, Mike and wife, Sherry Jeffrey of Celina, Texas, Ron and wife, Norma Jeffrey of Melissa, Texas, Wayne and wife, Lisa Jeffrey of The Colony, Texas, Denise and husband, Danny Edwards of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica and Amy McIlroy of Celina, Texas; twentyfour step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren and several cousins and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Josie Brown and Diana Jeffrey Brown. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Celina, Texas with Pastor Cliff Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Prosper, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, September 12, 2005 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
