Jacqueline LaQue Ennis

Jacqueline LaQue Ennis, aged 81, of Frisco, Texas, passed away December 27, 2025. She was born January 4, 1944, to Isaac and Ethel (Pullins) LaQue in Soperton Georgia. Isaac & Ethel LaQue relocated Jacquline along with her brother (June LaQue) to Tampa, Florida in 1945.

Jacqueline attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1962, Tampa, Florida. She married Milton L. Taylor Sr. in 1960, Tampa, Florida.  Two children were born of this union, Milton L. Taylor Jr and Inger P. Taylor.  They were divorced in 1968.  She married Alfred Ennis in 1980.

She was employed by GTE for over 10 years.  Jackie went on to pursue a career in the School District of Hillsboro County where she held several roles before retiring with 17 years of service in 2006.

Jacqueline was a devoted Christian and member of the Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida for over 50 years. While there, she was a member of the Usher Board, the #3 choir.

Jacqueline loved to cook for her family, and she was an accomplished seamstress. In her free time, she loved to dance, travel, and attend music festivals/concerts.  Jackie loved giving back to her community as a member of the Cupidettes Club, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on youth in the community. She won Miss Cupidette her first year as a member.  She was a member of the Young at Heart Foundation, dedicated to promoting healthy preventive/proactive support for the elderly.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving children: Daughter, Inger P Young (Robert) of Frisco, Texas, and Son, Milton Lamar Taylor of Summerville, South Carolina; Sisters, Sandra Hubbard (Clifford) of Tampa, Florida, and Geneva Slaymon of Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren, Taylor de la Mothe (Victoria) of Frisco, Texas, Brandon Young of Frisco, Texas, Courtney Anderson (Lionel) of Tampa, Florida, Montana Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ethan Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia; Daughters in love Subrena Taylor, Mia Taylor; Candice Horton of Atlanta, Georgia; Great Grandchild, Myles de la Mothe of Frisco, Texas; Nieces; Paulette Smith of Tampa, Florida; Tameka Thomas (Jason) of Atlanta, Georgia; Monique Jackson (Teddrick) of Houston, Texas; Nephew Austin Diggs (LaVonne) of Houston, Texas

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Ethel LaQue, Brother June LaQue, and Sister Lineese LaQue.
