Jacqueline Elaine Bewley

Jacqueline Elaine Bewley, age 64, of Richardson, Texas passed away January 7, 2009, after a year long courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 1, 1944 in Washington D.C. at Walter Reed Army Hospital to Francis and Jean (Readey) Lege. On August 31, 1967 she married Kimble Bewley in Austin, Texas. Jacqueline graduated from McCallum High School and the University of Texas in Austin. She has been a teacher all of her career and taught 13 years as a special education teacher for the Richardson School District. Jacqueline also taught for many years at Preston Royal Pre-School. She was a member of Sachse First United Methodist Church where she was active in the church choir and taught the children’s choir. She always loved children and being a mother and grandmother was the primary focus of her life. She is survived by her husband, Kimble of Richardson, Texas; daughters, Tracy Perry of Arlington, Texas and Tara Dail and husband, Chris of Sammamish, Washington; grandchildren, Brandon Perry, Brittany Perry, Collin Perry and Jack Dail; brothers, Frank Lege of Kingsport, Tennessee and Fred Lege of Woodland Park, Colorado; sisters, Diane Baylor of Austin, Texas, Linda Preece of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Jean Lege. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Sachse First United Methodist Church with Rev. Anna Hosemann-Butler officiating. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sachse First United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
