IN LOVING MEMORY

Jacob T. Krasuski

Oct 29 1931 - Jul 17 2016

Jacob T. “Jack” Krasuski, age 84, of Fairview, Texas, formerly of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away July 17, 2016.  Jack was born October 29, 1931, in Buffalo, New York, to Louis and Anna (Dzykowski) Krasuski.  He was born and spent most of his adult life in Buffalo beginning with his childhood at 40 Polaski Street where he graduated from South Park high school.  As an adult, Jack lived on Pierce Street where he was a fixture of the neighborhood known to all the children as “Mr. Jack.”  In 1981 he moved his family to Elma, New York where he lived until relocating to Texas in 2001 to be with his grandchildren.

In 1954, Jack was drafted into the Army and was stationed in France after completing his training at Fort Dix.  He returned to civilian life in 1957 but remained active in the Army Reserves as a MSG training the next generation of soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey.

Krasuski had several passions in his life beginning with his family.  An avid reader, he consumed several books a week more often than not focused on military engagements and most frequently concerning the civil war.  Jack greatly enjoyed nature and could often be found tending to his yard or travelling with his family to State and National parks around the country.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Krasuski of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Nancy J. Chambers and husband, Matthew of Fairview; and grandchildren, Maris Chambers and Schuyler Chambers, also of Fairview.
