Jacob "Jake" Sutten, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2024, at the tender age of 24. He was born on July 27, 1999, to David Sutten and Karen (Powell) Sutten in McKinney.
Growing up in the United States, England and Finland, Jacob’s early years were enriched by diverse experiences; from walking on the frozen Baltic Sea to climbing the giant oak trees of Coombe Hill, to wakeboarding on the lakes of Texas. These years created an adventurous character and enduring memories for all his family.
A proud graduate of McKinney Boyd High School, Jacob was passionate about computer science and was in the pursuit of higher knowledge, reflecting his commitment to personal and intellectual growth.
Jacob, or Jake as he was affectionately known, was more than a son; he was the cherished light of his parents' lives. A dear brother, precious grandson, and adored nephew and cousin, Jacob's presence brought joy and love to all who were fortunate to know him. Jacob's time on this earth was marked by warmth, love, and cherished connections. His kindness, warmth, and loving nature will be remembered by friends and family alike.
He is survived by his parents, David and Karen Sutten of McKinney, Texas; grandad, Raymond Powell and nanny, Marjore Powell of Buckinghamshire, England; grandmother, Marlene Sutten of Stephenville, Texas; brother, Joshua Sutten of McKinney, Texas; sister, Jessica Sutten, also of McKinney, Texas; a vast amount of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, both in his second home of England and the United States.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Sutten.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
