Jackie "Jack" Don Griffin

Jackie Don Griffin, a long-time resident of Farmersville, Texas passed away on March 6, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Jack was born on January 26, 1936 in Merit, Texas to Charles and Lola Griffin. Jack graduated from Bland High School where he was an avid basketball player. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Jack started his career in the banking business where he met the love of his life, Fran and married her on November 5, 1965.

After many years as Vice-President of First National Bank of Farmersville, Jack and Fran followed their hearts and opened Griffin Jewelry in McKinney in 1985. Griffin Jewelry is still an ongoing legacy to their dream. Jack was a man who wore many hats from Christian, jeweler, farmer, pilot, coach, and father. His most rewarding was being “Dado” to his 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He never missed an activity and was known to coach a few.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Cherye Walker and husband, Kurt of Farmersville, Kristi Query and husband, Jim of Charlotte, North Carolina and Angie Kraft and husband, Brad of Farmersville; son, Steven Griffin; grandchildren, Brad Walker and wife, Janet, Whitney McCall and husband, Mitch, Clay Chapman and wife, Brooke, Cole Chapman and Michelle, and Lexi Kraft; 5 great-grandchildren, Allie, Walker, Madi, Rhett and Little Jack; sisters, Linda Ivy and Glenda Rector; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lola Griffin; wife, Fran Griffin; brother, Charles Griffin; sisters, Jean English Spradlin and Nita Doan.

Please stop by between 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 where the family will be hosting a celebration of life at the RSVP Farmersville Event Center, 101B Candy Street, Farmersville, Texas.
