Jackie Stiles of Corinth, Texas passed away September 2, 2023, at the age of 88. Jackie was born December 13, 1934 to Jerry H. and Etta E. (Mosley) Pendleton in Marionville, Missouri.
Jackie grew up in Carthage, Missouri. She was the youngest of five. Her oldest brother, Jerry, passed away when he was just 2 years old. Her father passed away when Jackie was just 2 years old and her mother raised her children teaching them the value of hard work and living within your means.
After high school, she got married to Robert "Bob" Stiles and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas as Bob was in the Air Force. Jackie worked various office jobs as they moved around. In 1955, Jackie and Bob moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma when Bob accepted a job at American Airlines. His work at American Airlines over the years moved them to New York, Washington, Virginia, and finally Texas. Bob and Jackie moved to Farmers Branch, Texas in 1966 where they raised their three boys. In 1998 they moved to Celina, Texas to get out of the city. In 2022 they moved to Corinth, Texas to be closer to family. Jackie was a homemaker first, raising three boys while Bob was traveling for his work. After the youngest son reached 5th grade, Jackie went back to work performing office work at Montgomery Wards and then JC Penny where she made some lifelong friends. Jackie put family first with her love of her husband of 72 years, her boys, grandkids and her newest great-grand child. They were the most important things in her life. Jackie loved to cook and there was always a hot meal on the dinner table.
Jackie is survived by sons Wesley B. Stiles of Farmers Branch, Texas, Randall J. Stiles of Hickory Creek, Texas, and Kevin D. Stiles and wife, Catherine of Lantana, Texas; grandchildren, Addison Stiles of Waxahachie, Texas, Haiden Stiles of Lewisville, Texas, Ethan Stiles of Highland Village, Texas, Lauren and Blake Webb of Denton, Texas, and Andrew and Taylor Stiles of Dallas, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Malia Kate Webb of Denton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Stiles; her parents; brother, Jerry Pendleton; brother, Charles "David" Pendleton; sister, Maxine "Shug" Pendleton Brown; sister, Kathleen Pendleton Harris.
Graveside services will be determined at a later date.
