Jackie Loydene Snailum of Fairview, Texas passed away June 9, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born on August 2, 1944 to Charles Givens and Lois (Huntsman) Givens in Knox City, Texas. Jackie married Jerry Don Snailum on July 3, 1964 in Pecos, Texas. She was co-owner of H&S Concrete for many years. Jackie was a devoted member of Creekwood United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge with friends, and especially spending time with her family.
Jackie had a generous and servant heart, expecting nothing in return. She loved her family deeply and cherished her friendships. She leaves behind an abundance of beautiful memories and was an extraordinary wife, mother, Mimi, and friend.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 58 years, Jerry Snailum; son, Michael Todd Snailum and wife, Jennifer of Plano, Texas; daughters, Lori Gibbs and husband, Guy of Celina, Texas and Angi Nutt and husband, Chris of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Makenzie Nutt, Mason Nutt, Jessica Paramore, Justin Snailum, Michaela Snailum, Gage Gibbs, and Grace Gibbs; great-grandchildren, Wesley Paramore and Waylon Paramore; sister, “G” Headen of Allen, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and host of other loving family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents.
Jackie’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Medical City McKinney for the excellent care she received during her brief hospital stay.
A Celebration of Life Reception is scheduled for Sunday, July 10, 2022, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Heritage Ranch Golf & Country Club, 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, Fairview, Texas, 75069.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Celebration Class at Creekwood United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, or a charity of your choice.
