Jackie "Jack" Duane Strube, born on September 10, 1941, in Pittsburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted spouse, Bess Strube; his children, Debbie Rodriguez, Darrell Strube and Rodger Nichols; daughters-in-law, Casey Waid and Brandi Strube; son-in-law, Leo Rodriguez; and his cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, and Jacob.
Jack graduated from the University of North Texas in 1962 with a degree in Accounting. He was a celebrated member of the finance world, where he excelled as a CPA, Comptroller, and Chief Financial Officer, making a lasting impact at Tri Dal until his retirement in 2010. His professional accomplishments were only matched by his passion for life and strong faith in Christ. Jack found his greatest joy in gathering his family together, sharing laughter, and creating unforgettable memories. He appreciated the small things in life, such as grilling in the backyard with family and friends, and watching the sunset. Family road trips sometimes turned into lively Trivial Pursuit competitions, where Jack's unmatched knowledge and wit shone brightly.
An avid golfer, Jack first found pleasure on the greens of Quail Valley Country Club in Missouri City, Tx. It was here that lifelong friendships blossomed and cherished moments unfolded. That passion translated to many wonderful golfing vacations with Bess, often at their favorite destination of Palm Springs. Off the course, he was not only a great listener but also an enthusiastic learner, always seeking knowledge and new experiences, with a special interest in history. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family and those in need. Jack always seemed to have the perfect answer and advice when called upon. Jack's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew him.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Laverne Strube.
