IN LOVING MEMORY

Jack Wendell Hendricks

Sep 01 1934 - Dec 25 2020

Jack Wendell Hendricks of Farmersville, Texas passed away December 25, 2020 at the age of 86, in his home with his family around him. He was born on September 1, 1934 to William Asbury Hendricks and Lorene (Voyles) Hendricks on the East side of Sister Grove Creek, Texas. He grew up working on the family’s dairy farm and always had a special place in his heart for cows. Jack married the love of his life, Virginia Marie Poor in 1953, after meeting her in the Ritz Theater in McKinney, Texas. They shared 67 years of marriage together, and were blessed with 3 beautiful children. Jack was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School and later attended East Texas State College.  He worked at the First National Bank in downtown Dallas, built homes, and eventually became a successful entrepreneur. He was a hard worker, and believed the greatest gift you could give a child was to teach them a great work ethic. He loved his family dearly and always kept them in mind with every decision he made, a true family man. He admired motorcycles and trucks, but tractors were his true favorite by a country mile. He loved his tractors almost as much as he loved his grandchildren. Jack had 8 grandchildren that he adored; he was in attendance at each of their births. Jack has 2 great grandchildren and both were named after him. He enjoyed his big family and cherished getting together and making memories. Jack loved to learn about history, the world, and to travel. Jack was blessed with the gift of telling the greatest stories, charisma, great vision, and a big heart.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Hendricks of Farmersville, Texas; children, Wendell Hendricks and wife, Dee of Atlanta, Georgia, Mike Hendricks of Blue Ridge, Texas and Lori Hendricks of Pottsboro, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Unis, Chase Hendricks, Michael Hendricks, Will Hendricks, Chandler Hendricks, Lana Krasniqi, Arian Krasniqi and Arben Krasniqi; two great-grandchildren; brother, Mont Hendricks; numerous cousins, nephews and other loving relatives.

Jack was preceded in death by his loving parents.
