Jack Henry Shaw went to his heavenly home on March 14, 2026. He was born July 4, 1940, to Velma Lou and L.R. Shaw and grew up in Ennis, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gwen, his son David and wife Dedra Shaw, daughters Rhonda and husband Johnye Cochran, Wendy and husband Andrew Weil, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, his brother Donald Shaw and sister Luanna Stinson, and many other loved ones.
Waiting to greet him in heaven are his grandson Jonathan Shaw, his parents and older brother L.R. Jr., a host of relatives and dear friends and his greatest friend his beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In whatever role or assignment God gave him in this life: Christian Gentleman, Husband, Father, Grand or Great Grandfather, Son, Brother, Friend, Pastor, Teacher, Discipler, Evangelist, Counselor, Consultant, Coach, Mentor, Businessman, Writer, Jack sought to bring Jesus Christ into the conversation. His heart’s desire and focus of his ministry was to introduce people to the love of God through a personal relationship with Christ, so people could experience their BEST life.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 1707 San Jacinto Street, Dallas, Texas 75201. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
