Jack Hays, 74, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1948, to Albert and Mary Hays in Celina, Texas. After Jack graduated from Celina High School in 1967, he went to work at Texas Instruments (TI), which later became Raytheon, where he spent his entire working career.
In 1979, Jack met Billie at TI. Jack and Billie went on to have a blended family consisting of son Jason and daughters Tahnea and Hollie. In 2013, Jack retired and spent his time camping, riding motorcycles, and working on his ever-beloved car, Vettezilla.
Jack was predeceased by his father, Albert Lee Hays, and his mother, Mary Ruth Hays. He is survived by his wife, Billie Hays; son, Jason Hays; daughters, Tahnea Rericha and Hollie Hays; grandsons, Tristan Allman and Nate Hays; siblings, Mike Hays and Regina Hays; and lots of extended family, friends, and his beloved “Vettezilla”.
The family invites you to a Visitation at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Hope Community Church, 5204 S. Colony Blvd., The Colony, Texas, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
Reception to follow after the service.
Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Old Celina Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society for head, neck and throat cancer, an organization Jack felt strongly about.
