Jack Hampton Ledbetter

Jack Hampton Ledbetter of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 10, 2016 at the age of 83.  He was born on September 25, 1932 to John Hampton and Grace Lenore (Stocks) Ledbetter in Clinton, Oklahoma.  Jack graduated from McKinney High School in 1951.  He married his high school sweetheart, Arnetta Atterbury on June 2, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma.  Jack started working for US Plywood and Westinghouse, where he worked for 16 years.  He then began working for Flint Ink, where he worked for 32 years as a sales representative.  Jack was a former member of the Elks Lodge.  He was always active in church activities at McKinney Bible Church.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Arnetta Ledbetter of McKinney; son, Jack K. Ledbetter and wife Pat of The Colony, Texas; daughter, Sherry Ferrell of Cocoa, Florida; grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Chelsea Ferrell, Jimmy Ferrell, Destiny Ferrell, Eternity Ferrell, Jack K. Ledbetter, Jr., David Ledbetter, Angela Ledbetter, Stacey Miranda and Blake Ledbetter; daughter-in-law, Teresa Ledbetter; brother, Pat Ledbetter of Van Alstyne, Texas; sister, Fran Smith of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Vienna, Alanya, Abigail, Olive, Ethan and Jett; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brent Ledbetter; his son-in-law, James Ferrell; his sisters, Mary Lou Ereckson and Fern Reed.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, July 15, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening, July 14, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
