Jackie “Jack” Lewis Coleman Sr., age 77, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020. He was born on June 25, 1942, in El Paso, Texas, to Juanita Evelyn (Crosby) and Arthur Jack Coleman. Jack married Davenia Catalano on June 23, 1973, in Houston, Texas. He worked as an executive in the insurance industry. Jack was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Davenia Coleman; his children, Jackie L. Coleman Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Lone Oak, Texas, Gary Robert Coleman and his wife, Lisa, of Plano, Texas, and Christy Lyn Almon and her husband, Taylor, also of Plano; his grandchildren, Jackie L. “Trey” Coleman III, Nicole (Michael) Mortensen, Daniel Almon, and Rebekah Coleman; his sister, Judy (Jack) Rush of The Woodlands, Texas; his sister-in-law, Paula Coleman of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Arthur Coleman, his brother, Jerry Coleman, and by his first wife and mother of his three children, Beverly Doyle.
A funeral service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020. The family invites friends to a visitation at the funeral home prior to the service, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Interment is at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas, on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 12:00 p.m.
