Irma Jean Fairman Parker

Irma Jean Fairman Parker of Melissa, Texas passed away on April 19, 2022 at the age of 66. She was born on January 11, 1956 to J.W. and Luberta (Holmes) Fairman in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.  Irma graduated with the class of 1973 from Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Mississippi.  She continued her education by attending Delta State University where she studied communications.  Irma eventually moved and settled in Houston, Texas where she raised her family.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and traveling, but she enjoyed her three children and grandchildren the most. 

Irma is survived by her daughters, Nasca Gray of Atlanta, Georgia and Starr Magee and husband, Corky, Sr. of Melissa, Texas; son, Ray Parker, Jr. of McKinney, Texas; stepdaughter, Trina Parker of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Jaziya McCreary, Corky Magee, Jr., Caleb Magee, and Christian Magee; brothers, J.W. Fairman, II and wife, Pamela of Chicago, Illinois, John Fairman and wife, Vicki of Germantown, Tennessee, Jerenza Fairman of Cleveland, Mississippi, and Walter Lee Fairman of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Dr. Alice Daniels, M.D. and husband, Jimmie of Burr Ridge, Illinois, and Lucille Quinones of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; goddaughter, Delores Johnson; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew Fairman; and sisters, Patricia Baxter, Rachel Adams, Aretha McGhee, Cleo Houz, and Dorothy Mae Bullocks.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will be livestreamed at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/irma-jean-fairman-parker. After the service, the recorded livestream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
