Ira Allen McClimans of Forney, Texas passed away March 24, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born to Howard and Dorothy (Wendle) McClimans on October 6, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Ira married Kathleen Davis on October 27, 1972, in Hansen, Idaho, and they shared 46 wonderful years together before her passing in 2018. Ira proudly served his country in both the United States Army and Navy, a testament to his dedication to his country.
Ira volunteered at A Different Breed Animal Rescue in Dallas, giving his time to help animals in need. He was a member of Chase Oaks Church in Plano, where he found a sense of community and fellowship. Ira loved the Lord and Donald Trump and guns, and talking about cars.
He is survived by his son, George McClimans of Haslet, Texas; son, John McClimans and wife, Marjurie of Haslet, Texas; granddaughter, April Gullatt of Lindale, Texas; granddaughter, Kirsten McClimans of Lewisville, Texas; granddaughter, Tiffanie Wright and husband, Cory of Crossroads, Texas; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Garon and husband, Michael of Bremerton, Washington; grandson, Ira Allen McClimans, III of Richardson, Texas; grandson, Matthew McClimans of Seattle, Washington; grandson, Daniel McClimans of Haslet, Texas; granddaughter, Trisha Fleener of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Michael McClimans; and great grandkids, Jordan and Eden Garon of Bremerton, Washington, and Aidan and Payton Wright of Crossroads, Texas.
Ira was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen McClimans and still living sister, Carla Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
