Ina McDonald passed away May 9, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born to John and Georgia Honeycutt of Linden, Texas on October 11, 1924. Ina graduated from Linden High School and Business College in Longview, Texas. She worked as an executive secretary with Goldberg, Fonville, Gump, and Strauss until retiring to raise her children. Ina was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and never missed watching them on TV after she was unable to attend the games.
She is survived by her husband, Maj Gen (USAF Ret) Robert W. McDonald; children, James S. Worley of Plano, Julie Reames and husband Edwin of Prosper, Texas, and Susan Reilly and husband Alexander of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Addie and Chris Reames of Prosper, Texas; step-grandchildren, Blake Reames of Oregon, Piper and Patrick Reilly of Houston; nieces, Louann Jones and Debbie Burke and their families; and nephew, Byron Terry and his family.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved sister, Marijon Terry (2009).
The family would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses, therapists, first responders,and especially Beth Kwesha and her family for their wonderful care.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will be held 2:30 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
