Imogene (Thompson) Eubanks, a resident of Rhome, Texas, passed away December 16, 2024 at the age of 96. She was born on June 23, 1928, to Tommie Thompson and Addie Mae (Brimer) Thompson in Chambersville, Texas. Imogene graduated from Chambersville High School. She had a keen eye for detail, and precision, and she put her amazing skills to good use in her job as a proofreader for the phone book company. Imogene met the love of her life, Chester Calvin Eubanks. They celebrated their love and commitment to each other on their wedding day, January 31, in McKinney, Texas. Over the years, Chester and Imogene created countless joyful memories while raising their family. Imogene was of the Baptist faith.
Imogene loved camping and all the outdoors had to offer. She led a vibrant and fulfilling life. In her later years, Imogene was active and enjoyed connecting with others in Senior Citizens of Irving and The Red Hat Society. She especially enjoyed trips to Choctaw Casino, playing slots, trying her luck at table games, and just taking in the lively environment. But most of all, being with her family was the heart of everything for Imogene!
Imogene is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Alderman (fiancé Robbie Harris), of Rhome Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of loving extended family and friends, who will dearly miss her.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents Tommie and Addie Mae Thompson, beloved husband, Chester Calvin Eubanks, and sons, Donald Ray Eubanks and Bryan Dale Eubanks.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.
The family will receive guests during a visitation on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, located at the same address.
