Ilse Horton was born on May 23, 1960, in Munich, Germany, and passed away peacefully in her home on January 30, 2026, in Frisco, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-love, and friend whose bright personality and loving spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Ilse was preceded in death by her mother, Anneliese Roetzer. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tommie Horton; her children, Tanishia Horton; Stephanie and Kenneth Williams; Lashauna Horton; Tommie Horton and Brittney Barney; Andre Horton; and Angel Horton. Ilse was a proud grandmother to Jordon, Rylei, and Dallas Jones; Brielle and Kent Williams; Bentley Horton; and Mya, Julian, and Makai Horton, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Ilse was known for being deeply loved by all. She had a warm presence and a kind heart, always finding ways to show her love for others. One of the ways she expressed that love most beautifully was through crocheting. Each piece she made was created with care and intention, a lasting reminder of her thoughtfulness, warmth, and creativity.
Ilse Horton will be remembered for her loving heart, her bright personality, and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on through her family and the love she so freely gave—even when her tight hugs may have physically hurt. Her unique comedic jokes, witty sense of humor, and a laugh that could truly fill a room will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, beginning at 10:00 AM.
