Illa A. Reid of McKinney, Texas passed away November 3, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on October 18, 1926 to Fay McWhorter and Mabel (Kirby) McWhorter in Treasureton, Idaho. She married Virgil G. Reid on September 28, 1945.They moved to Waco, Texas, then moved to Brigham City, Utah in 1975, and then McKinney, Texas in 2005. She worked as a seamstress for many years. Illa loved music and played the piano and guitar. She enjoyed singing, painting, making crafts, and cooking delicious meals.
Illa is survived by her daughter, Anne Reid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Mabel McWhorter; husband, Virgil Reid; brothers and sisters, Norma McWhorter Petersen, Kate McWhorter Petersen, Roger McWhorter, Wendell McWhorter, Wilma Connie McWhorter, and Virgil McWhorter.
