Ila Mae Hartley, age 83, of Richardson, Texas, passed away July 3, 2007, in Tacoma, Washington. Ila was born in Ada, Oklahoma on September 14, 1923, to Roy and Irene (Horton) Jeter. She was the oldest of four daughters. Ila married Houston Lee Hartley in 1952 and on their honeymoon moved to California where she lived most of her adult life. Ila is survived by her son, Don Hartley and his wife, Madron of Richardson, Texas; daughter, Denise Hartley of Tocoma, Washington and two sisters, Betty Neunkirch of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jean Perry of Ennis, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lil Baker. Ila will be remembered as someone devoted to her children and to her faith. She loved celebrating Christmas, engaging in deep conversations, and giggling with her sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Justiss Cemetery near Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
