Hubert Joe Marshall, Sr.

Hubert Joe Marshall, Sr. of Decatur, Texas passed away April 11 2021at the age of 77. He was born on November 9, 1943 to Roy Leonard Marshall and Effie Fay (Childress) Marshall in McKinney, Texas whose family has resided in McKinney for four generations. Joe was a loyal, committed, good man who loved life.  He enjoyed travel and fishing.  Joe also loved a good joke and making people laugh.  He worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver for many years. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was of the Baptist faith.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Marshall of Decatur, Texas; daughters, Barbara Marshall Massad and husband, Gene, II of Dallas, Texas and Laurie Ann Boston and husband, Toby of Colleyville, Texas; son, Hubert Joe Marshall, Jr. and wife, Lynette of Midlothian, Texas; grandchildren, Eugene Marshall Massad, III, Hubert Joe Marshall III, James Thomas Marshall, and Madison Marshall; brothers, Roy Marshall and James Marshall; numerous other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Effie Marshall.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday April 14 ,2021, at the Garden Pavilion in Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, the following are Ridgeview Memorial Parks guidelines. Anyone attending the Graveside Service is to maintain social distancing or may remain in their vehicle. You will be able to listen through speakers set up at the site.

A “come and go” visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.  Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing and masks will be required.
