Howard Lynn Luckhardt of Plano, Texas passed away on May 3, 2020 at the age of 60. He was born on November 19, 1959 to Howard and Patricia Luckhardt in Southampton, New York. Howard grew up on Long Island, New York where he graduated from Southampton High School in 1977. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from SUNY-Brockport and became a police officer for the South Hampton Town Police. Howard married Desiree Jo Kramer on November 11, 2003 in Plano, Texas. He loved sports, travelling and collecting police badges from all over the world. Howard had earned his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying.
He is survived by his wife, Desiree Jo Luckhardt; children, Amanda J. Luckhardt, Brandon H. Luckhardt, Derek Peterson and wife, Maggie, and Meredith Burns and husband, Warren; grandchildren, Gabriel, Isabella, Aubrey, Adelaide, and Barrett; mother, Patricia Bennett and husband, Don; sister, Penelope Elliot; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Howard Luckhardt.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of invited guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
The service will also be live streamed on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Howard’s obituary page.
However, those who would like to honor Howard and show their support to his family may come to the funeral home where ample parking is available. While you remain in your vehicle, you may watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
