Howard William Couch, 82, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Flower Mound, Texas. He was born on October 29, 1942, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Howard Harry Couch and Jenny (Smith) Couch, Howard lived a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished moments.

A proud graduate of Quincy High School, class of 1960, Howard pursued higher education at Northeast Missouri State University, earning his bachelor’s degree. His journey led him to Quincy, Illinois, where he met and married the love of his life, Ann Danay Afsaraglou, on June 4, 1961. Their unwavering commitment to each other flourished over the decades, as they built a beautiful life together.

Settling in Kansas City, Missouri, Howard discovered his passion for retail while working for JCPenney, a career he devoted himself to until his retirement. Yet, beyond his professional endeavors, Howard’s greatest joy was found in raising his three children—Danay, Debbie, and Chris—creating countless cherished memories and a legacy of love.

An avid golfer and fisherman, Howard found solace in summers spent at his lake home in Branson, Missouri. However, above all, he treasured time with his family and friends, always valuing their laughter, stories, and companionship.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Couch of Flower Mound, Texas; children, Danay Navinsky (Jim) of Highland Village, Texas, Debbie Edward Farnum (Dane) of Flower Mound, Texas, and Chris Couch (Gina) of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Nicole Navinsky, Alexa Navinsky, Tyler Couch, Tanner Couch, and Marina Farnum; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Criswell, Camden Couch, and James Couch. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jenny Couch.

Family and friends are invited to a public visitation on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

Howard’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around him will forever be remembered.
